Washing Instructions

A little care goes a long way. Follow these instructions to help protect your B-Side Threads graphic tee, preserve the print, and keep the fabric looking its best.

Before Washing

  • Turn the shirt inside out.
  • Separate dark and light colors.
  • Wash with similar colors.
  • Close zippers or fasteners on other garments that could rub against the printed design.

Machine Washing

  • Machine wash cold.
  • Use a gentle or normal cycle.
  • Use a mild detergent.
  • Avoid bleach and harsh stain removers.
  • Avoid fabric softener when possible.
  • Do not wash with heavy or abrasive items such as towels, jeans, or garments with metal hardware.

Cold water and washing inside out help reduce fading, shrinkage, and friction against the printed design.

Drying

For the longest-lasting results, hang or lay the shirt flat to dry.

When using a dryer:

  • Tumble dry on low heat.
  • Remove the shirt promptly when dry.
  • Avoid high heat, which may shrink the garment or damage the print.

Ironing

  • Turn the shirt inside out before ironing.
  • Use a low-temperature setting.
  • Do not iron directly over the printed design.
  • Do not use steam directly on the print.

Place a clean cloth between the iron and garment when needed.

Do Not Dry Clean

Dry-cleaning chemicals and high temperatures may damage the fabric or printed artwork.

Comfort Colors Garment-Dyed Tees

Comfort Colors shirts are garment-dyed to create their soft, lived-in appearance.

Because of this process:

  • Slight color variation is normal.
  • Wash separately before wearing.
  • Wash with similar colors during the first few washes.
  • Some initial color transfer or fading may occur.
  • Avoid direct contact with light-colored fabrics while the garment is wet.

These characteristics are part of the intended garment-dyed finish and are not normally considered defects.

Treating Stains

Treat stains as soon as possible.

  • Apply a small amount of mild detergent to the affected area.
  • Gently blot rather than aggressively rubbing.
  • Avoid applying strong stain remover directly to the printed artwork.
  • Wash according to the instructions above.

Quick Care Guide
